In March 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 outbreak, New York City was placed under an 80 day lockdown. All “non-essential” businesses were shut down and people were advised to remain inside. I went out and walked through many of the most popular tourist areas such as Times Square, SoHo, Meatpacking District, and Central Park. These locations, which are normally singing with street performers, traffic horns, and loud music were suddenly empty.
